(1) Create this file in your Wowchemy project:
layouts/partials/hooks/head-end/mastodon-verification.html

(2) Write in the file:
<link rel="me" href="https://my.mastodon.instance/web/@mymastodonid"/>

FYI if you would like the Mastodon web client to be able to fetch the followers/follows of a user that is from another Mastodon instance, you can add a thumbs up to this feature request: github.com/mastodon/mastodon/i

@AVallecillo You have two ways to view the profile of a user who is not on the same Mastodon instance as you: either using your own Mastodon instance, or using the other user instance.

If you do the former, you cannot see the followers of another user, but with the latter you can.

In my case, I cannot see your followers if I visit:
mastodon.tedomum.net/web/@AVal

But I can see them fine if I visit:
c.im/@AVallecillo/followers

Hope this helps :)
